Thumamah Airport is a “Public Aerodrome” certified under GACAR (Part 139) and operated by Saudi Aviation Club. The airport occupies an area of 3000,000 m² and is located near the Thumamah desert (about 28.9 km north of King Khalid International Airport) inside the King Khalid Royal Reserve, Riyadh.

The airport consists of two Aprons: North Apron (1000 m X 90 m), and South Apron (1500 m X 100 m), a SAC parking Hangar of 1800 m², a portable ATC tower (used during aviation events), and one Runway approximately 3961 meters (13,000 Ft) long.
